Let me tell you about my terrible online shopping experience, not to complain, but as a cautionary tale. I urgently needed new glasses after my old ones broke, so I ordered a pair on March 30th and even paid extra for 3-5 day express shipping. However, as I concluded in my review, this company is truly "Terrible terrible terrible." Day 5 arrived, and my order was still in production. By Day 10, it was still in production. I felt compelled to reach out to customer service because it was utterly unacceptable, and I wanted to know what was going on and why I hadn't received my glasses.
Customer: Hi, I'm calling about order [Order Number]. I placed it on March 30th and paid for express 3-5 day shipping because my old glasses broke, and I desperately need these. It's now Day 11, and the status still says "in production." What's happening? CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I apologize for the delay you've experienced. Let me check your order details for you right now. Customer: This is ridiculous. I paid for faster shipping for a reason. I'm without my glasses and this delay is causing a lot of inconvenience. I need a refund for the express shipping at the very least. CS Rep: I can certainly process a refund for your express shipping fee, which I see is $10. I've initiated that for you. Regarding your glasses, they are still in production, but I see they are estimated to ship out within the next few days. Customer: "Within the next few days"? So, I'm still looking at roughly 6 more days until delivery after they ship? That means I'm looking at Day 19 or more without glasses. This isn't what I signed up for. CS Rep: I truly regret that the timeline has not met your expectations. We are working to expedite the production, but I understand this isn't ideal. The shipping refund has been processed, and we will notify you as soon as there is a concrete shipping update.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of relying on their shipping promises.
