My Nightmare with GlassesUSA's Warranty: A Warning to All Parents 😠
I am writing this as a warning to other parents about my terrible online shopping experience. My dealings with GlassesUSA have been a complete nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my story so others can be cautious. Honestly, this place is the worst. I've ordered glasses with an added warranty and needed a replacement due to the frame breaking, and each time I've needed a lens replacement they tell me my choice of frame is out of stock and I'll be receiving a store credit plus a small percentage, which doesn't make sense. How do I end up with a cheaper and lighter pair than the previous? I'm so tired of dealing with this crap from GlassesUSA, plus a $30 deductible for the replacement. After another failed attempt to get a fair replacement, I had to call their customer service.
Customer: I’m calling about my warranty claim. For the second time, you're telling me my child's frame is out of stock and I have to take a store credit that’s less than what I originally paid. This is ridiculous.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for this repeated issue. Could you please provide your order number so I can review your account history?
Customer: It's order number 112358. I started with a $189 pair, and now I'm being forced to get something valued at $130, and you still want a $30 deductible. It feels like a total scam.
CS Rep: Thank you. I see the problem, and you are right to be upset. That is not the policy. For the inconvenience, I will waive the deductible and issue a credit for the full original value of $189. You can apply this to any in-stock frame.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent other parents from falling into the same trap.
